Law Enforcement Arrest and Detainment Procedure: Contraband Sales to Locals
Lawmen are authorized to arrest or detain any individual caught in the act of selling contraband to locals. The following conditions must be met:
- In the Act: The suspect must be actively engaged in the sale of contraband to a local (non-player character).
- Observational Evidence: The lawman must witness the transaction, with clear evidence of contraband exchanging hands.
- Immediate Action: Upon observing the sale, the lawman has the right to:
- Detain the suspect for questioning, including searching the individual and their immediate area.
- Arrest the suspect if clear evidence of illegal activity is found, or if the suspect resists detainment.
Failure to comply with a lawful detainment or arrest, or attempting to flee, may result in further charges against the suspect.
Note: This authority must be exercised with integrity and within the scope of maintaining public order. Any misuse or overreach in detainment or arrest procedures will be subject to review.
